Today, the birthday of my love, is the reason behind the birthday of this blog.
There's this game we play, just you and I.
"I like you."
"I like you more!"
"I like you the most!"
"I like you the mostest!"
It usually ends in a draw, or a "surrender" because we like to take turns letting each other win.
I hope we never stop playing our game. Because it's a lot more than a game.
It took a while before you told me that you loved me, and I'm glad you waited. I'm more glad that even though you tell me that you love me, you haven't stopped telling me that you like me. I know that they're true words, and true things make me content. This one makes me happy too.
To think that four years ago we met, four years ago we became best friends almost instantly.
To think that three years ago I was terrified to fall in love with you. Almost too terrified.
To think that two years ago I finally admitted to myself that I knew I was going to marry you.
To think that one year ago we started "officially" dating.
To think that in less than a year, Lord willing, we will become husband and wife.
From back there until then, ups and downs, back and forth, tears and laughter, we live and love and continue on this little large journey. Your life gives new meaning to mine, something with which God continuously surprises me.
Happy Birthday, PK. I like you the mostest!
